Do Malaysians need visa to Laos?
Malaysia passport holders are on the exemption list for a visa to Laos within 30 days. Therefore:
- If you stay in Laos for less than 30 days, a visa to Laos is not required.
- If you stay in Laos for more than 30 days, a visa to Laos is required.
Malaysian citizens should check visa requirements before applying for a Laos visa. As a result, if you meet the Laos e-visa requirements for Malaysian citizens, you may apply online through our application form. We understand that applying for a visa can be time-consuming, so we've broken it down into three simple steps:
- Step 1: Fill out your general information and double-check that everything is correct.
- Step 2: Select the most convenient processing time and pay the visa application fee.
- Step 3: Submit the application after uploading the relevant documents.
An electronic copy of the Laos visa will be sent to the applicant's current email address, which they must include on their application after the visa has been accepted. In addition, it is advised that travelers should print out a copy of their eVisa or download a copy to their phone to carry with them on their journey in case border authorities want to look it over when they get there.
One important thing to note is that once a Laos visa is issued, it allows Malaysian citizens to stay in Laos for up to 30 days. It is essential to note that overstaying the permitted duration without proper authorization can result in fines or other penalties.
